Toyota Reveals New Tagline 'Let's Go Places'

Tri_county_toyota_logo

Toyota announced an engaging new tagline today, “Let’s Go Places,” reflecting the company’s commitment to more exciting products and the promise that customers are invited to take part in shaping Toyota’s future. The new theme, which represents the vision of Toyota Motor Corporation President, Akio Toyoda, was revealed today at the Toyota National Dealer Meeting in Las Vegas.

“Let’s Go Places” evokes the forward-looking and optimistic momentum of Toyota in America.  It invites consumers on a journey to see new places, discover new possibilities and dream big dreams together with Toyota. “Let’s Go Places” begins today to engage consumers to discover Toyota and will debut nationally on December 31, 2012, as part of the campaign for the radically new Avalon, the embodiment of Toyota’s new direction.  “Let’s Go Places” replaces the previous Toyota tagline “Moving Forward.”

“Let’s Go Places” speaks to the evolution of Toyota and our commitment to leading through innovation, enriching lives and connecting with customers in new ways they define,” said Bill Fay, group vice president and general manager, Toyota Division.  “It is energetic, aspirational, inclusive and very versatile. The phrase conveys a dual meaning of physically going places and taking off on an adventure, while also expressing optimism and the promise of exciting innovation that enriches people’s lives. It allows our associates, customers, dealers, and suppliers to interpret it in ways that are most personally relevant to them.”

“Let’s Go Places” emphasizes the thrill of innovation for a better way to live and drive, and delivers on that promise in a variety of ways – from seven, exciting all-new or updated Toyota and Scion vehicles in 2013, to unique community-giving programs such as 100 Cars for Good, to partnerships like Toyota’s Personal Branding Initiative to assist veterans in translating their military skills into employment opportunities.

The new tagline is the result of extensive research and collaboration with longtime partners Saatchi & Saatchi, Dentsu America, Conill, Burrell, Intertrend, and Grieco Research.

Beginning in 2013, “Let’s Go Places” will be integrated into all of Toyota’s national and regional advertising, engagement, communications and digital across all segments.

"Thanks to Bruce at Tri County Toyota Dealers, we were able to purchase a used car shortly after arriving back to the US after living overseas. A number of our friends mentioned that this dealership is the one they always use. And so, off I went to see what may be available for us. The confidence with which Bruce presented himself as a person who could help me when he greeted me at the door was reassuring to me. His taking our interests and financial limitations seriously was important to us, also. He juggled serving two customers at the same time, that Saturday morning the day of our purchase, with a comfortable ease."-CJ

Toyota Launches The Toyota Racing Dream Build Challenge Contest

2012_toyota_dream_build_logo_46002_2524_thumb

Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. announced today the Toyota Racing 'Dream Build Challenge,' a vehicle-modification competition where the fans get to determine the winner. Any fan in the world will be able to go to www.ToyotaRacingDreamBuild.com to watch the builds take shape through a series of reality-style 'minisodes.'

NASCAR stars Kyle Busch and Clint Bowyer will be modifying a Camry sedan and a Prius hybrid, respectively, while NHRA standouts Antron Brown will be building a Sequoia SUV and Alexis DeJoria a Tundra pickup truck. Though the drivers are competing for glory against one another, the real victor will be the winning driver's charity of choice, which will receive a $50,000 check from Toyota.

"The Toyota Racing Dream Build Challenge highlights Toyota's commitment to great cars, great racing, and our great fans," said Keith Dahl, Toyota's national motorsports and engagement marketing manager. "Each driver was given the same resources to ensure a fair fight, and we ourselves are thrilled to see it all unfold."

Voting will open on Oct. 20 and continue for 10 days. Fans will be able to vote once per day via Facebook and enter to win prizes, including a Toyota Racing 'Dream Trip,' which will be given away to one lucky fan.

The final vehicle builds will be unveiled at a press conference in the Toyota display at the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show in Las Vegas on Oct. 30. Fans will be able to tune-in live to watch the entire press conference and see the winner announced in real time.

Here are the charities for the four participants:

CLINT BOWYER - The mission of the Emporia Community Foundation (www.emporiacf.org/) is to improve the quality of life in Emporia, Kansas, Bowyer's home town, and the surrounding communities. ECF is a collection of funds and resources donated by caring citizens, including Bowyer himself, who have chosen to make their community a better place to live and work, now and in the future.

ANTRON BROWN - Racers for Christ (www.teamrfc.org/) - part of the Christian Motorsports International, Inc., family of ministries and often called 'Team RFC'-was established in 1971 as a fellowship for Christians in the sport of motor racing. Its members conduct non-denominational chapel services at more than 2,000 local and professional racing events nationwide every year.

KYLE BUSCH - The mission of the Kyle Busch Foundation

(http://www.kylebuschfoundation.org/) is to empower young men and women by fostering life experiences and helping them achieve their goals. "I would recommend Tri-County Toyota to everyone. They went above and beyond to make us happy. They gave us an amazing price on our trade-in and even got our monthly payments lower than what we asked for. We are extremely happy with the staff at Tri-County Toyota and will definitely be going back to them for our next vehicle."-KLafferty81

"Our experience with Tri-County Toyota was very satisfying and would recommend them to our family & friends. We have bought toyotas at Tri-County for the last 30 years & have always have great service. I have recommended them to my parents, who had always purchased Fords, but are now Toyota owners for the last several years."

"Nick was our Salesman and was very knowledgeable about the preowned RAV4 that we ended up buying. He showed us all the features and answered all of our questions during the test drive. When we picked it up he synced up our phone within a few minutes and again went over the different controls on the car. He also gave us a tour of the service area so that we would be comfortable knowing where to go when we brought our car in for service. After we got home we had a minor problem with the glove box not closing. We called Nick and he said to come right back and he would "make it right". We drove back and within a few minutes Nick had popped out the glove box, pushed down on the cabin filter cover (which was not pushed in all the way) and the glove box was as good as new and could now close. Overall Nick was friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

Guy was the "closer". When we were on the fence about buying the car, Guy came in to talk to us to seal the deal. He was a good guy who was down to earth and made some good points regarding the price we were getting it for, the interest rate and the quality of the car.

I would recommend your dealership to others because of your prices, selection and personnel."

Nick, thanks a lot for your dedication to 100 percent customer satisfaction

"We had a race car that we could not afford. We needed to trade it for a car that meet more of our needs. So, we made a trip to Tri-County Toyota and had all of our needs met...even exceeded! Our salesman, Nick was very friendly and knowledgable about the Prius vehicles we wanted to explore. He enthusiastically shared many cool features of the car with us as we took our 1st test drive. We weren't ready to buy that day; Nick didn't mind or pressure us. But, when we were ready to do our trade we dashed back to see Nick at Tri-County Toyota. Along with 2 of his managers, Guy and Ken, Nick worked patiently with me to work out a deal that we all considered to be fair and allowed me to drive home our new car. We named her "Pretty, Pretty Prius"! Every member of our family grows to love her more each time we take a ride. Thanks for making this transaction so simple and enjoyable,Tri-County Toyota. We look forward to the day we will come back & buy another Prius..... which I suspect will be soon. Smiles!" -- halloransix
